AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF ROMANIA PRESENTED HIS CREDENTIALS TO THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN
On September 1, 2022, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Turkmenistan, Ion Naval.
Presenting his credentials, the diplomat conveyed warm greetings to the head of state from the President of Romania, Klaus Werner Iohannis, who emphasized the special importance attached to strengthening the traditional ties of friendship and constructive cooperation with Turkmenistan, which is confidently following the path of sovereign development.
Congratulating the plenipotentiary representative of a friendly country on his appointment to a high diplomatic post, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conveyed his best wishes to the top leadership of Romania, noting that Turkmenistan, for its part, also pays great attention to the comprehensive strengthening of interstate dialogue, successfully developed on a bilateral and multilateral basis.
During the interested exchange of views on the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-Romanian relations, the interlocutors noted with satisfaction the wide opportunities for further building up cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Thanking for the kind words and warm hospitality shown on the Turkmen land, the Romanian diplomat assured that he would make every effort to strengthen the established good relations that meet the interests of the two states and their peoples.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov once again congratulated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania Ion Naval on the start of his work in Turkmenistan and wished him success in fulfilling a responsible mission to strengthen interstate dialogue.
