MEETING AT THE MFA OF TURKMENISTAN WITH THE NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF GEORGIA
On September 30, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Turkmenistan Konstantin Sabiashvili.
At the beginning of the meeting, R. Meredov congratulated the Ambassador of Georgia on his appointment to a responsible position and wished him success in his diplomatic activities. It was noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Georgia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strengthening relations between the two countries, including the expansion of bilateral political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. The importance of the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili to Ashgabat and the meeting on July 20, 2022 with the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was also noted.
During the meeting, Ambassador Konstantin Sabiashvili presented copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and stressed that during his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan he would make every effort to further expand and strengthen ties between the two countries.
