MEETING AT THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF TURKMENISTAN WITH THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF TURKSOY

On October 11, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Sultanbay Raev.

During the meeting were discussed the current state and priority areas of cooperation. Along with that, the parties, noting the fruitful nature of the interaction between Turkmenistan and the TURKSOY organization, aimed at preserving, studying and promoting over the globe the richest cultural heritage of the Turkic-speaking peoples, including the Turkmen people, called for further deepening of cultural ties.

There was also an exchange of views on various joint promising projects, in particular, were discussed the possibilities of organizing joint events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi.
