THE DELEGATION OF TURKMENISTAN TOOK PART IN THE 21ST MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF HEADS OF GOVERNMENT OF THE MEMBER STATES OF THE SHANGHAI COOPERATION ORGANIZATION

On November 1, 2022, the twenty-first meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was held via video conference under the chairmanship of the People's Republic of China. The meeting was chaired by Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang.

The meeting was attended by heads of governments and representatives of member and observer states, the SCO Secretary General, Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure, Chairman of the Board of the SCO Business Council, Chairman of the Council of the SCO Interbank Association, as well as heads of a number of international organizations.

As a guest invited by the Chairman of the meeting, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamurat Geldimuradov took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on key issues of world and regional development, priority measures were discussed to strengthen trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation within the SCO.

The Report of the SCO Secretariat on the events and meetings held as part of the implementation of the Program of Multilateral Trade and Economic Cooperation of the SCO Member States and the Organization’s budget for 2023 was approved, and decisions were made on a number of issues related to the financial and organizational activities of the permanent bodies of the SCO.

Following the twenty-first meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the SCO Member States, a Joint Communiqué was signed.

The heads of delegations expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for the high level of organization of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the SCO Member States.
