MEETING WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA AT THE MFA OF TURKMENISTAN
On December 8, 2022, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan V. Hajyiev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ghana to Turkmenistan (with residence in Tehran) Eric Owusu-Boateng, who arrived in the Turkmen capital on a working visit.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana presented copies of his credentials. V. Hajyiev congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high diplomatic post and wished him success in strengthening relations between our two countries.
The diplomats discussed the establishment of close relations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries through regular inter-ministerial consultations, which are an effective tool for resolving issues of interaction within various international organizations, as well as determining areas for developing cooperation in the political, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
As a first step to expand the legal base of cooperation, the Turkmen side handed over to the Ambassador of Ghana drafts of two documents: a draft Memorandum of Understanding between the two Foreign Ministries on holding inter-MFA consultations and a draft Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries for 2023-2024.
