CREDENTIALS RECEIVED FROM NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADORS OF FOREIGN COUNTRIES
On December 8, 2022, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh G. Mammedova received credentials from the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of a number of foreign states - the Kingdom of Norway, the Republic of Finland, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Ghana, the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and also from the Apostolic Nuncio.
On behalf of the head of Turkmenistan, the head of the national Parliament congratulated each of the foreign diplomats on their appointment to a responsible position, wishing them success in strengthening the ties of friendship and a multifaceted interstate dialogue that is successfully developed both on a bilateral and multilateral basis.
The plenipotentiaries of friendly countries, in turn, conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the leadership of their states to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and all the Turkmen people, who are confidently following the chosen path.
During the meetings held in a businesslike, constructive manner, a thorough exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues of long-term productive cooperation, initially built from the standpoint of equality and mutual benefit.
The ambassadors got acquainted with the key vectors of the domestic and foreign policy pursued by Turkmenistan, the unconditional priority of which is the steady development of international partnership in the interests of peace, global security and general well-being.
Introducing the successes achieved over the years of sovereign development, as well as the large-scale reforms initiated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov aimed at improving the well-being and the steady growth of the living standards of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan focused on the social orientation of the state policy, within which the whole country construction of comfortable residential buildings, modern kindergartens, schools, medical and scientific centers, the largest sports facilities in the region is underway.
The diplomats also got acquainted with the structure and activities of the Milli Gengesh, with the cardinal reforms being carried out in the legislative sphere.
Noting the interest of their countries in enhancing cooperation with independent neutral Turkmenistan in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres, the diplomats assured of their readiness to contribute to the comprehensive deepening of traditionally friendly bilateral relations and diversification of established productive cooperation in a wide range of areas.
