The agenda included issues of expanding cooperation between the countries of the region in such important areas as economics, trade, logistics, transport and communications.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan read out the written message of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the summit of the heads of state of Central Asia. The appeal emphasized that cooperation with the nearest neighbors was one of the priority aspects of the foreign policy strategy of our state, which was set for the broadest partnership with the countries of the region, in every way promoting the promotion of an equal, trustful dialogue in all directions, both in bilateral and multilateral formats.

In his message, the head of Turkmenistan, addressing the best wishes to the leaders of the countries of the region, and the well-being and prosperity to the fraternal peoples, noted that the rich long-term experience of interaction between our countries will further promote the expansion and deepening of good-neighborly, friendly mutually beneficial relations in Central Asia.

The issues touched upon in the Turkmen leader's appeal were also reflected in the course of the reception by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev of the Chairman of the Committee on Legislation and its norms of the Majlis of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Passing greetings to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Kazakh leader noted the great contribution of the Turkmen leader to strengthening the cooperation of the countries of Central Asia, stressing that for Turkmenistan Kazakhstan has always been and remains the most important strategic partner.

In particular, there is an impressive potential for the development of trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian cooperation and inter-parliamentary relations.
