President of Turkmenistan arrives in Tashkent on an official visit

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in the Republic of Uzbekistan on a two-day state visit. In honour of the distinguished guest, the Guard of Honour formed up in Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport, decorated with the flags of the two states.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and other high-ranking officials greeted the Turkmen leader in the air harbor. From the airport, the Turkmen leader’s cortege headed to the Kuksaroy State Residence, where the top-level bilateral talks will take place.

The Turkmen leader’s visit to Uzbekistan testifies to the progressive development of the interstate relations based on the ties of friendship and good neighbourliness, the principles of equal mutually beneficial cooperation. The regular character of top-level visits and talks, as well as systematic relations between the foreign-policy agencies of the two countries vividly demonstrate the commitment of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to the full-scale partnership.
