INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATED IN TURKMENISTAN

On September 27, 2018, Independence Day was celebrated with large and colorful celebrations in Turkmenistan. This festive sunny day was greeted with the main square of the Turkmen capital, which became the focus of the main mass celebrations. Today, thousands of Ashgabat citizens, hundreds of guests from all over the country and the world have gathered here.

On the central podium were members of the government, deputies of the Mejlis, heads of the ministries, departments, major public organizations, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan, ambassadors of Turkmenistan abroad, representatives of foreign delegations who arrived in Ashgabat, as well as delegates of the Halk Maslahaty.

Soldiers of all branches of the Armed Forces of the country lined up on Independence Square. The time on the clock is 10.00 AM. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov appears on the state platform. All those gathered with great enthusiasm greet the Leader of the nation.

The exemplary military orchestra of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan is played with fanfare. The holiday begins with a military parade, once again demonstrating the high professionalism and training of the Turkmen soldiers.

The President gives the command to start the parade. The Minister of Defense makes a detour, welcoming ceremonial lines, consisting of military men and cadets of specialized high schools and schools, soldiers and officers of the National Army. The national anthem sounds, the national flag of Turkmenistan is solemnly raised on a flagpole. The Turkmen soldiers lining up on the square take an Oath of allegiance to the Fatherland, the people, the President.

The banner group opens the festive parade. To the sounds of a ceremonial march in front of the podium, warriors pass, in whose hands are the national flags of Turkmenistan and the battle flags of all branches of the armed forces of the country.

The decoration of the festive parade was the procession of equestrian units created on the initiative and support of the President of Turkmenistan in the military units of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Then the review of modern military technology starts.

The festive parade is continued by the country's Air Force, which plays a huge role in ensuring the security of their native land. Helicopters of the Agusta-109 and Agusta-139 brands, the State Border Service, fly over the square. The helicopters of the Eurocopter-365 of the Ministry of National Security and the Eurocopter-145 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs continue the military parade in the air. Then, Su-25 combat aircrafts appear in the sky. Skillfully driving combat winged vehicles, Turkmen pilots demonstrate excellence.

Then a separate battalion of the Guard of Honor of the Ministry of Defense appears in front of the state tribune. Demonstrating impeccable training and high skill in the execution of combat weapons techniques, the soldiers form on the square images of the glorious date "27" and the Monument of Independence.

The final chord of the military parade in honor of the main national holiday was the inspired performance of the Model Orchestra of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan.

But here the bravura marching music is replaced by a melody with silver dutar modulations.

Representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and public organizations of the country appear on the main square of the country. In the forefront are honorary elders, silver-haired mothers. The procession is accompanied by the narrator's talk about the huge role that the activity of public organizations, the supreme legislative body in the development of the state, its civil and public institutions, is assigned to. Next comes a column of representatives of all the velayats. A tamdyr is installed on the auto-platform accompanying it - a symbol of the native focus, consolidation and transmitted from generation to generation of traditions.

Celebratory events on the main square of the country are completed by a bright song and dance composition dedicated to the Motherland and independence. And in the final again jubilantly sounds "Forward, forward, only forward, the native land of Turkmenistan!".

In the evening, on the square in front of the cultural and entertainment center "Älem", where numerous residents and guests of the capital gathered, a musical performance was held in honor of Independence Day. Pop stars, masters and young soloists, folklore and dance ensembles, choral groups took part in the concert.

And at the end of the concert the festive salute boomed. Fountains of light scattered in the evening sky with bright sparks, leaving for memory the wonderful moments of joyful triumph.
