THE MEETING WITH THE DELEGATION FROM ASIAN DEVELOPMENT BANK WAS HELD AT THE MFA OF TURKMENISTAN

On October 10, 2018, there was a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the delegation of Asian Development Bank (ADB) headed by Director General for Central and West Asia Department Mr. Werner Liepach who arrived in Ashgabat to pay an official visit.       

In the course of meeting, parties noted the successful outcomes  of Consultation meeting with the CAREC National Focal Points. Furthermore, the parties discussed preparations for the 17th Ministerial Conference on CAREC to be held in November, in Ashgabat in the framework of Turkmenistan’s chairmanship in CAREC Program in 2018.  

The parties exchanged views on present situation of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Asian Development Bank and discussed matters related to further improving existing relations. The parties discussed the opportunities to expand relations in energy, industry, transport and trade sectors. In addition to that, strengthening cooperation in entrepreneurship and banking sector was also subject of discussions.        

During the exchange of views on further improvement of relations in the framework of CAREC Program,  ADB delegation expressed readiness to coordinate joint works in the projects and programs to be implemented by the ADB in Turkmenistan.
