TURKMEN-SINGAPOREAN POLITICAL CONSULTATIONS WERE HELD IN SINGAPORE

On June 11, 2019 Turkmen-Singaporean political consultations were held in Singapore between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries. Deputy Secretary (Asia-Pacific) of Singapore Mr. Ng Teck Hean headed the consultations from host side.

At the beginning of the consultation the parties admitted that the regular holding of the political consultations were the real mechanism of strengthening the bilateral relations in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields and discussed the implementation of the bilateral documents signed between the two countries. In the course of the negotiations the sides exchanged views on the further widening the cooperation between the countries in the authoritative international organizations, especially in the United Nations Organization.

The parties also discussed the issues of the possibilities of organization of the visits on high level and holding of the business forum between the business communities of the two countries. Besides that, the parties discussed the issues of the development of the relations in the cultural-humanitarian field.

 Within the framework of the visit to Singapore the delegation of Turkmenistan had meetings with Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Maliki Osman, representatives of Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE), Management and Development Institute of Singapore and Singapore Business Federation.
