MEETING OF THE COOPERATION FORUM "CENTRAL ASIA-REPUBLIC OF KOREA"

On October 12, 2022, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan V.Hajiyev participated in the preparatory online meeting for the 15th Session of the Cooperation Forum “Central Asia-Republic of Korea» at the level of foreign ministers, scheduled for the near future in Busan, Republic of Korea.

The meeting was also attended by the deputy ministers of foreign affairs of the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, issues of developing cooperation were discussed based on the agenda of the upcoming Forum. In particular, the attention was paid to the interaction between countries in the areas of healthcare, digital cooperation, tourism, ecology and energy, and economic security. The issues of the Draft Joint Statement and the Work Plan of the Forum Secretariat for 2023 were also considered.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan expressed the interest of the Turkmen side in promoting a constructive dialogue and practical interaction within the framework of the mentioned Forum.

The parties also discussed the organizational and protocol issues of the upcoming event.
