The first issue of the quarterly, scientific-practical magazine "Foreign Policy and Diplomacy of Turkmenistan" prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has been published this month.

The magazine is opened by an article dedicated to one of the main events of 2018 - solemn ceremonies on the occasion of the start of the construction on February 23, 2018 in the Serhetabat district of the Mary province and in the Afghan city of Herat, the Afghan section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, power transmission lines and fiber-optic communication on the route Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) and the commissioning of the railroad Serhetabat-Turgundi.

The follows the information on the high-level meetings held by the President of Turkmenistan with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahid Hakan Abbasi and the State Minister for External Affairs of the Republic of India, Mubashir Javed Akbar. A special place in the magazine has been given to the official visits of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the State of Kuwait, as well as to the United Arab Emirates. Also in the magazine is an article with the report about the official visit to Turkmenistan of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani.

On the pages of the magazine, readers will be able to get acquainted with articles devoted to the history of the Great Silk Road, on major energy and transit-transportation projects carried out by neutral Turkmenistan. A special place in this  issue of the magazine is given to an article devoted to the history of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. In addition, the magazine contains information on the March 25 elections of the deputies of the Mejlis, members of the people’s councils and local councils of Turkmenistan.

The column "The Chronicle of Diplomatic Life" provides an overview of the meetings and negotiations at various levels, meetings of joint intergovernmental commissions, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, as well as international meetings and conferences held in Ashgabat and in various countries.

The publication of the magazine in Turkmen, Russian and English languages provides its accessibility to a wide range of readers in foreign countries.
