The visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan has ended

On July 17, 2025, as part of the cultural program of the visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the cities of Fizuli and Shusha.

At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, the National Leader of the Turkmen people spoke with the official representative of Azerbaijan, who noted the importance of the meetings and negotiations held during the visit. Then the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan left for the city of Fizuli.

The distinguished guest was warmly welcomed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at the Fuzuli International Airport.

Here, the National Leader of the Turkmen people was introduced to the international airports of Fizuli, Lachin and Zangilan and the corresponding projects of these modern transport infrastructure facilities of the country were presented.

After getting acquainted with the airport, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and President Ilham Aliyev headed to the city of Shusha by car.

Along the way, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the Aghdam, Fizuli and Khojavend regions acquainted the National Leader of the Turkmen people with the construction projects being implemented in the city of Fizuli.

During the presentation, Honored Architect of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag gave valuable recommendations on this matter. President Ilham Aliyev emphasized their importance. The Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan expressed sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people for such valuable recommendations.

On the Dashalty plain, which is located near the city of Shusha, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the head of the friendly state took a joint commemorative photo.

Arriving in the city of Shusha, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and President Ilham Aliyev visited a new residential complex under construction.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan also got acquainted with the construction of the mosque.

Then the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the head of the friendly country got acquainted with the photo exhibition dedicated to Heydar Aliyev. The exhibition presents photo and video materials, as well as documents reflecting the merits of the National Leader of Azerbaijan in the socio-economic, political and cultural development of the country.

Then the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the Shusha Fortress. The National Leader of the Turkmen people and President Ilham Aliyev took a photo in front of the Shusha Fortress.

Then the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the head of the friendly state visited the house-museum of the famous Azerbaijani opera singer Bulbul in Shusha. Bulbul's son, People's Artist of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan Polat Bulbul oglu acquainted the distinguished guests with the museum's exposition.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people thanked for the impressive and interesting tour, noting the important role of such museums in preserving cultural heritage and passing it on to future generations.

In turn, Polat Bulbul oglu expressed his sincere gratitude to the distinguished guest for visiting the museum.

Then the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and President Ilham Aliyev visited the Govher Aga Mosque in Shusha. Prayers were offered in the mosque for the Turkmen and Azerbaijani peoples to have a peaceful and prosperous life.

Then the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the Mehmandarovs house-museum.

Then the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the President of Azerbaijan visited the Jydyr Plain and took a commemorative photo here.

During his visit to the Jydyr Plain, the National Leader of the Turkmen people was presented with a Karabakh horse named Dostluk as a sign of high respect.

Having expressed gratitude for the gift, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan stated that he accepts it as a symbol of the unbreakable Turkmen-Azerbaijani friendship.

Then the National Leader of the Turkmen people and President Ilham Aliyev took a photo with the horse breeders.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan thanked President Ilham Aliyev and representatives of the Azerbaijani side for the high level of organization of the excursion, revealing the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people.

Having completed the program of the visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to the Fizuli International Airport, from where he departed for his homeland.
