PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN PARTICIPATED IN LANDSCAPING CAMPAIGN IN KIYANLY
On October 17, 2018, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of the polymer plant in Kiyanly, the commissioning of which allowed creating about 1,000 jobs, then launched the autumn greening campaign, planting the first tree next to the territory of the new gas-chemical complex.
Representatives of practically all sectors of the national economy, foreign guests, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Turkmenistan joined the initiative of the head of Turkmenistan.
Careful attitude to the native nature is the most important priority of the state policy of Turkmenistan. Green arteries stretch forest lanes along highways and railways, green oases appear around a rapidly developing industrial infrastructure, fast-growing cities and new villages. Millions of seedlings are planted in the foothills of the Kopetdag, adjacent to the white marble Ashgabat.
In accordance with the international standard Green Port, a draft of a new International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi, commissioned in May of this year, was developed. In order to preserve the ecology of the Caspian Sea, bio-purification equipment is installed in each terminal.
Innovative technologies are used in the production of mineral fertilizers at the Garabogaz karbamid plant, which expanded the production infrastructure of the country's chemical industry in September. The environmental safety of this company is also confirmed by certificates of reputable international organizations.
A new stage in the implementation of the National Forest Program was marked by the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, according to which, during the greening campaign in 2018, 3 million trees will be planted: 1.5 million in the area between the Ak Bugdai and Bakharden etraps of the Akhal velayat and the same deciduous, coniferous trees, fruit trees and grapes - in the vicinity of the provincial administrative centers and cities.
